HEGCF – SFC Energy receives new major German Bundeswehr order
Brunnthal/Munich, December 12, 2017 – SFC Energy AG receives a new major order of EUR 3.6 million from the German Bundeswehr and secured one of the largest single orders in the company’s history.
Total order volume represents more than 8% of prior year’s group revenue of SFC Energy and will contribute significantly to expected growth in revenue and profitability.
Having first introduced SFC fuel cells for their units in 2010, German Bundeswehr is now equipping additional troops with the JENNY fuel cell as part of the proven portable energy network.
SFC Energy delivers German Bundeswehr an innovative, fully integrated power solution, consisting of the portable JENNY fuel cell, the SFC Power Manager, a hybrid battery specially adapted to the system, a solar panel for alternative energy supply and a wide range of accessories.
Complete delivery of this order is expected at the end of the first quarter of 2018 and covers the first part of the defined Bundeswehr requirements. From a strategic point of view, this order is the result of years of successful joint development work representing a breakthrough in the national defense market. At the same time, the company expects a significantly positive impact on international defense business activities, further confirming SFC’s position as a leading provider of off-grid energy supply in the defense sector.
