HGP – Ceterus Adds Experienced Leadership with New Chief Operations Officer Liam McElhone

Ceterus, a technology company that provides done-for-you accounting and benchmarked reporting to small business and franchise entrepreneurs, recently announced that Liam McElhone will be taking over operations as their new Chief Operations Officer.McElhone has successfully led operations teams at several venture-backed companies, including Vocalocity, a cloud based unified communications provider (acquired by Vonage) and MindShift, one of the largest providers of managed services for small businesses (acquired by Best Buy).
“Liam knows how to grow and scale operations teams to bring a world-class customer experience to the entrepreneurs we empower every day,” said Levi Morehouse, Ceterus Founder and CEO, “He has the skills and experience to bring our solution to more entrepreneurs, while making our customer experience better every day.”
“I was drawn to Ceterus’ mission of empowering entrepreneurs since I’ve helped build two other technology companies that serve the SMB market, and I loved the idea of a done-for-you technology solution for these entrepreneurs,” said McElhone. “I’m excited to lead and scale an operations team at Ceterus that is passionate about our mission and the customers we serve.”
Former Chief Operating Officer, Derek Carter, is moving into the newly created role of Chief Solutions Officer. In this role, Carter will oversee automation and process enhancements within Ceterus’ done-for-you accounting solution. “In an operations role Derek developed the foundation for our automated platform. A dedicated focus on automated, continual, accounting is exciting for both Ceterus and the accounting industry at large,” said Morehouse.
These changes comes on the heels of Ceterus’ $10 million Series B funding round and explosive growth over the past two years.
