HGP – Cloud Elements Appoints Katrina Garnett to Board of Directors
DENVER, Aug. 08, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Cloud Elements, a leading API integration platform, today announced the appointment of Katrina Garnett as the second independent director to its board, following Jim Franklin, former CEO of Sendgrid. Garnett’s appointment to Cloud Elements’ board is a direct result of her laser focus and success within the integration industry, which will be invaluable as Cloud Elements, at five years since its launch, builds out enterprise customer success programs and sales reach.
“Katrina has a long history as a trailblazer and visionary in the world of integration, which has finally moved passed the enterprise service bus (ESB) and iPaaS models – models that the industry has been hung up on for the past 20 years,” said Mark Geene, CEO and co-founder of Cloud Elements. “We are thrilled to bring her passion and experience to the company, especially as we continue to see hyper-speed growth following our Series B round in January.”
Garnett helped pioneer the modern integration industry and is the founder of CrossWorlds Software Inc., the first company to automate business process integration and replace custom point-to-point integrations, acquired by IBM in 2001. In addition to her position on Cloud Elements’ board of directors, today Garnett counsels startup companies, entrepreneurs, venture groups and private or public company boards, leveraging her experience and familiarity with Silicon Valley’s technology scene. She also works with entrepreneurs at SRI International in an advisor role, along with Berkeley, Stanford and the USC Viterbi School of Engineering. Garnett’s professional history includes tenures at Oracle and Sybase before founding CrossWorlds in 1996 and serving as CEO and president.
“Cloud Elements’ verticalized integration Hubs and data-centric API integration platform have redefined the enterprise approach to application integration in this modern digital age,” said Garnett. “I’m fully confident in the technology Cloud Elements has built, and I am looking forward to the company’s future as it focuses on enterprise integration projects.”
