Step aside Silicon Valley, Charleston, fondly dubbed “Silicon Harbor”, is becoming a growing player in the tech field. In fact, Charleston’s tech economy is growing just as fast as the motherboard of all tech cities, Silicon Valley. According to the Post and Courier, Charleston’s tech economy is growing 26 percent faster than the national average. Within the July 15 article, the Huffington Post listed a few tech companies to watch. PeopleMatter was included on that list. Here’s what they had to say:

• “HR software developer for the service industry, PeopleMatter, got its start with the CDC in 2009. Since then, the company has raised more than $47 million in venture capital and counts 33,000 restaurants across the country among its clients, including Wendy’s, Marriott, Domino’s and more.”
