Lee Purcell serves as Global Head of Capital Markets. Mr. Purcell joined HMC in 2022. Lee leads a global team tasked with providing solutions for HMC’s existing investors as well as developing new limited partner relationships. Mr. Purcell has 25 years of experience in investment management as well as a successful 15-year history as a marketing professional. Prior to joining HMC, He served as the Global Head of Investor Relations with Meyer Bergman (MARK), a London based real estate private equity group and prior to that he was a Managing Director and Partner at The Carlyle Group. He also held senior positions at Greenhill and Credit Suisse. Lee is a graduate of the University of Virginia and received a Master of Business Administration from The Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
lpurcell@harbert.netBased in HMC’s Atlanta office, Melissa Babb is a Senior Managing Director of sales and marketing in North America. Ms. Babb joined HMC in 2008, having served as a Managing Director of JPMorgan Private Bank covering high net worth clients in the Southeast. Before moving to Atlanta in 2004, Ms. Babb headed the Morgan Plus Investment Group of JPMorgan Private Bank in New York, the team that performs manager due diligence and reporting. In the 1990s, Ms. Babb was a capital markets specialist on the New York trading floor of JPMorgan Securities Inc. She began her Wall Street career in 1984 as a fixed income and derivatives specialist in New York and London with Merrill Lynch.
Ms. Babb holds a B.A. in Economics from Princeton University and an M.B.A. in Finance from New York University Stern School of Business. She is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Woodruff Arts Center and the Atlanta Botanical Garden and a member of Leadership Atlanta 2010. She holds FINRA Series 7, 8, 24 and 63 licenses, and was designated one of “The Nation’s Top 100 Wealth Advisors” by Worth Magazine.

He was promoted to Executive Vice President & CFO in 2002 serving through 2011 when he became Executive Vice President & Global Head of Distribution. In April 2022, Mr. Miller will move into a new advisory role as Senior Managing Director and will continue to service some of the firm’s long standing high net worth relationships.
Mr. Miller previously worked with Harbert Corporation, which he joined in 1985, and played a key role in that firm’s transformation from an operating conglomerate. During his career, he has served in various treasury and financial management roles, including Treasurer, Chief Financial Officer and Director of Corporate Acquisitions. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Auburn University and has completed the Wharton Executive Program at the University of Pennsylvania on Financial Management.
Bryony Tomlinson serves as Head of European Capital Markets. Based in London, Bryony leads HMC’s outreach to investors in the European marketplace. She joined HMC in 2023 from Lazard’s Private Capital Advisory group where she was a Managing Director. During her 12 years there she was involved in fundraises aggregating in excess of $25bn of equity for over 40 real estate funds. Prior to joining Lazard, Bryony was at MGPA and Cushman & Wakefield Investors. Bryony holds an MA in Philosophy and Psychology from Oxford University and an MSc in Real Estate.
btomlinson@harbert.netBrandon Keaveny joined HMC in 2018 and is responsible for fundraising and real estate investment activities across the United States. During his time at HMC, Mr. Keaveny has completed more than $1.1 billion of real estate transactions across product types including industrial (+4.5 million SF), residential (+3,800 units), retail, and office. Mr. Keaveny has spent time in both the New York and Dallas offices during his tenure at the firm. Prior to joining HMC, he worked for Citigroup where he focused on financing transactions in the Global Energy Group. Mr. Keaveny holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin and was a member of the Canfield Business Honors Program.
