HVP – Invincea First to Receive Common Criteria Certification for Advanced Endpoint Threat Protection Offering
Gartner Security & Risk Management Summit / National Harbor, MD, — June 8, 2015 — Invincea, Inc., the leader in advanced endpoint threat protection, today announced it has become the first and only company to receive Common Criteria certification for an advanced endpoint threat protection offering. The company received this certification for its core products: Invincea Endpoint (formerly Invincea FreeSpace) and Invincea Management (formerly Invincea Management Server), now Common Criteria certified at EAL 2+. This certification resulted from an intensive year-plus testing process conducted by Computer Sciences Canada, Inc., one of the accredited Common Criteria testing laboratories.
Common Criteria IT Security Evaluation certification is required by most U.S. federal government agencies and the Department of Defense (DoD) to put into production new security technologies on the endpoint. Invincea’s secure virtual container technology was certified across a range of functionality, including: preventing Web-based threats and weaponized documents from damaging the endpoint or accessing data; automatically killing suspicious endpoint processes; and providing rich forensic intelligence on attempted attacks.
